Seniors should start a business

Inspired by this Ted talk, I believe that every Senior has a lot to offer and could even start their own business.  The one thing that the younger generation does not have yet is decades of experience.

With the advent of the internet, smart phones, and social media, it is easier than ever to find customers and, ultimately, a following.

So many platforms make it possible to sell absolutely anything. eBay made it cool to sell items as an auction. Amazon made it cool to get your products much faster(and cheaper). Now, whatever you are in to, there’s probably a following and an online store that carries it.

Back in the early 2000’s, there were only a few options to buy and sell online. eBay and Craigslist, for example, opened up people’s homes to get rid of their junk.

Nowadays, looking up the value of an item and finding somewhere to sell it is even easier.

Seniors are a very unique group with so much to offer. Harnessing their superpower – experiences and storytelling can be done in so many ways.

No matter what your life experiences are, there are people out there that are eager to understand and learn from it.

Even if you don’t want to go through the hassle of paperwork to start a business, a good side hustle can be done as well.

Here are some resources to get the creative juices flowing and help.
